Apollinaire Ngankeu Biography. 

Apollinaire ngankeu, born at may 8th 1972 at Baloum, a small village at around 500 people in the West Cameroon. 
The father Dominique and the mother Christine, moved to Baloum in 1957, escaping from Bangamg their native village during the sad period of independence war in Cameroon in which their parents and brothers were killed, and others were kidnapped to serve the colonial Army or the rebellion groups. Apollinaire is the fifth of six children (3 sons and 3 daughters). 
Apollinaire made his primary school at Ecole Catholique de Toussang and after his Primary First certificate, at 12 years old, he moved to Bansoa Urban district for secondary school at Collège Evangélique de Penka-Michel. In 1990, he moved to the capital city Yaoundé where he finished the high school at Lycée de Biyem-assi, and got the admission in Biological sciences courses at Yaoundé 1 University and graduated in 1996. The father died on December 1996, and without financial support to continue the study in Cameroon, Apollinaire applied in different Europeans Universities and fortunately, he got admission in Biotechnology school at Bologna University in Italy in 1997. In 2003, he got his master degree in Biotechnology. 
From 2003 to 2004 Apollinaire, moved to Melbourne in Australia, at Monash University, as Research Assistant in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and from 2004 to 2008 he got a PhD fellowship in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Ferrara University in Italy. After The PhD, he got a Post Doctoral position in Human Cancer Genetic at Ohio State University from 2008 todate. 
Apollinaire is member of the Italian Society of Virology (SIV), and the American 
Association for Cancer Research (AACR). He is also involved in different projects and 
initiatives made by the Baloum and Cameroonians Diaspora around the world, to help young children education as classroom building, books gifs for children and other community development activities. He is a great believer in the immense potentials of grass-roots development.
