Mohamed Karamoko, Ph.D.

Dr. Mohamed Karamoko was born in Abidjan, the capital city of Cote d’Ivoire. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Ohio State University. He receivedaMsc in molecular genetics at the university of “Abidjan Cocody”, Cote d’Ivoire. After, he attended successively two universities in France, where he alsoreceived a Msc inBiotechnology from “ENSAIA-INPL Nancy” and a PhD in Molecular Biology from “Universite Joseph Fourier de Grenoble”.
Dr. Mohamed Karamoko as a postdoctoral researcher, works in a teamwhich is interested in the biogenesis of the energy-transducing membrane systems, in particular those evolved in mitochondria and chloroplast and they  are using the green alga Chlamydomonasreinhardtii, the vascular plant Arabidopsis thalianaand the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as model systems for they studies. They are focusing on elucidating the maturation pathways of cytochromes c in mitochondria and chloroplast using molecular genetics and biochemical approaches.
Dr. Mohamed Karamoko has publishedresearch articles during his PhD study and recently along his postdoctoral. He is pursuing his young career in academia to gain valuable experience. Hehas decided to be involved in the sustainable development of Africa and the renaissance of African people.
